HP Pavilion 1030

This Model HP notebook is the perfect size for someone concerned about the small 10″ screen size and limited uses of a Netbook, but wanting all the capabilities of a Desktop?at a fraction of the weight.

This offering from HP does that! Priced to move, the computer features a full size Keyboard 13″ Screen, runs Microsoft Windows 7, Sports a AMD Processor, 320 GB Hard Drive , 4 Mb of Ram and a ATI Graphics Card. It literally has the full capabilities of any Desktop PC. HP is able to do this by eliminating the CD Drive. We don’t consider that a deterrent since any software available in CD form is certainly available for download on the web. The Computer weighs in at less than 4 Lbs, and has a battery life of 6 hours. The Hard drive is large enough to hold anything making the use of the CD Drive even less important.

Interestingly enough the small Laptop has competition. Dell, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo are all releasing similar laptops with similar size and weight to compete with this HP Model.

As I view the Laptop market there is a huge selection of Netbooks at often less than $250.00 and these small laptops are available at under $500.00. Never before have we seen technology like this at such an affordable price. One thing that has not changed is that 99% of the laptops will be running software by Microsoft.

The laptop comes pre loaded with Microsoft office and other popular programs and windows 7 will walk you through the steps to recreate your desktop and computer functionally so you can be as efficient as possible.

We give this Laptop 4 stars
