Apple App Store
The App Store contains 140,000 different programs for download many are free and most cost between $.99 -$9.99. Most major newspapers and magazines have their own apps and many are free. You can get anything from CNN to USA today and always have the latest news. You can customize for local, world and financial news and have it pushed to you when you want.
There are Apps that help give you dinner ideas and guide you through the process of picking up exactly what you need at the supermarket. Some programs will even alert you to a nearby supermarket as your driving past. There is an APP to guide you to the nearest pizza restaurant and several that let you make dinner reservations through the phone and get a e-mail confirmation without having to call anyone. This makes it incredible easy to make reservations at popular restaurants. Their even one that’s ‘What Around” it will guide you to the nearest gas station, hospital or restaurant.
Major Banks, insurance companies and Brokerage companies have custom Apps that allow their customers to access manage and their assets even trade securities trading from their Mobile Phone. They also offer directions to the nearest branch based on your current location. The Phone has a Number of GPS products that guide you to places near whatever your current location is.
If you’re a sports fan the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB PGA, USTA ESPN all offer live scoring and coverage of every game ever played at anytime in their respective league.
The Phone itself comes with a voice dictation the real beauty is Dragon Dictation it worked right after I downloaded it. It’s very accurate and its free. Another thing I liked were the Wallpaper, (the Free Ones) I was happy to change the apple inspired home page with my own. I also recently took advantage of the Custom Ring Tones. I know when it’s my wife or which child just by the Ring or if it’s an outside the family calls.
The Apple App Store also contains many programs for cooking, recipes, sports, local restaurants, hobby’s, investing and so many more and they range from the obvious to the ridicules (Sound of Gas)
The Apple app store has games ranging from Card games to Tiger Woods’ Golf and Grand Theft Auto. You can turn your IPhone into a guitar or a bowling ball. Use it to send e mail or enjoy intense real life
According to Apple press release all of these programs will be useable on the Ipad tablet PC and you can expect plenty more. According to Apple there have been 3 billion downloads so far.
